Hmm, I highly recommend against starting with Perl... It's not a 'clean'
language... Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad language... but it's a
bad language to learn first...



Python/Ruby don't seem that bad...



I recommend starting out with Pascal/Java/C# or something like that...



But I agree, O'Reilly books rock...
