When I was under Debian Sarge a few months ago, I noticed my 56k on port
com modem started hanging after a while, then after reconnecting it hang
at closer time, and closer.
I decided I'd try changing my root password while no connected. It ended
the problem. The idea came after I read an article about diverse ways
attackers get fun on other's computers.
Maybe your wireless card has a defect, or any soft related problem.
Just incase, see if this story can be help.
