The rest of probably coming from hotplug events;  internal Bluetooth USB,
network lease.  On the ThinkPads the mute key is hardware and one-way
[always mute] so you maybe able to hit it quite quickly---I know I'm in this
habit when I switch the machine on.

Given my annoyance with hearing start-up sounds generated by other operating
system, perhaps you put this down as a feature request to keep everything as
silent as possible and provide other feedback;  in corporate environments I
think it would go down particularly well.
