Print problems revisited

Hi all, finally after just over 4 years I have come to realise 2
undeniable truths,
1. There is  a Santa Claus,
2. It is possible to print from Linux.

The above is not quite true, I have always known there is a Santa Claus,
but finally aquired a second hand HP Laserjet 1100, which was recognised
and it printed first time from both Gedit and Open Office, has really 
made my year,
possibly the decade :-)

I would like to thank all those who offered their help, it was very much 
appreciated,
and now I must buy another couple of boxes of paper and *print
