LimeWire hangs my Ubunutu

I used the steps in that page to downgrade the jre to 1.4.
As soon as I started LimeWire the machine became slow, and the IO-wait 
(top 'wa') jumped up. So it seems that the problem is not the jre.

But I'll keep testing it to see if it also hangs my machine.
