You are not alone, not at all!

I have exactly the same experience. It dies frequently. It is also
somewhat antisocial in that it often grabs all CPU cycles when
communicating with the exchange server (that's at least what I think
it's doing).

Configuring it is also somewhat interesting. Ever tried removing an
exchange account? My calendar and task list simply would not go away. I
ended up resetting all evolution settings (using 'gconftool-2
--recursive-unset /app/evolution') and re-configuring the beast.

I've never managed to muster the energy to dig into (or bitch about)
Evolution. Judging by the stability of the SW I doubt I am alone.

Software is not manufactured, it is something you write and publish.
Keep Europe free from software patents, we do not want censorship
by patent law on written works.

Before a mad scientist goes mad, there's probably a time when he's only
partially mad. And this is when he's going to throw his best parties.
