Thunderbird Error

Well I've recovered thunderbird. By completely reinstalling Thunderbird,
all mail accounts by hand and downloading all mail (only 15K messages!)
from my ISP(s). I then reinstalled all my message folders (from backup)
and am putting my rules back (from backup but one area at a time). So
far thunderbird seems back to normal. I'll see how it goes from here.
It's taken the best part of 3 hrs to do this though so I wouldn't want
to do it often!!!

One question re: thunderbird and using global local folders. If I want
my rules to action on incoming messages, where do I write them?
Thunderbird allows rules to be written on the inbox for the local
folders or for ANY of the mail accounts you have defined. It uses the
default account be default even when global local folders is enabled and
is I find very confusing as to where the rule should be kept.
