Firefox 1.03?

Another point: My understanding is that Firefox now how a "update
notification" feature whereby the user is notified automatically when
mozilla.org releases a new update, which they can then upgrade to. Is
that the case? I know it does for plugins/extensions for sure as I've
used it. But the program didn't notify me of an update to Firefox
itself, so I don't know if that's just disabled in the Ubuntu version
or doesn't exist at all.
