Maybe not so odd. The Knoppix build orders all of its files to create
the fastest boot and I think OO is up the front too because it is no
slouch starting up. If you do something a bit eccentric like compiling
some small app you start to become aware that you are running from a cd.
IMO Knoppix is one of the best sales tools for Linux in existence.
