Getting a gravis gamepad pro (gameport) to work

Was there any need to load drivers? I know that there is the GRIP drivers.
KDE (Kubuntu) does not recognize the joystick saying it polled /dev/joyx
and could not find any devices. I actually have 2 joysticks I would like to
get working; my Gamepad Pro (great one for any emulator) and my Gravis
Exterminator Digital game pad (best for N64 emulators). The gameport module
is loaded, but not joy or GRIP.

Yes. I have several. In fact, it's the gamepad I recommend to just about
anyone that will listen. Just plug it in and fire up a game or emulator...

Are you having trouble with it?
