Mythtv in Ubuntu's future?

MythTV 0.17 is in the multiverse (as many people have mentioned).



I can confirm that Ubuntu Hoary works well with this - I just used
synaptic and installed it (it brings in mysql etc).



It is worth looking at some of the online guides on the web -
particularly if you are using DVB cards - you need to do the correct
modprobe's first and very you can see tv with either mplayer or xine
first (see: http://www.ethics-gradient.net/myth/mythdvb.html)



Then load the packages.



If you want the remote to work - search on LIRC in these forums, some
of us worked it out .
