Ubuntu default MTAs and cofig files?

Can anyone tell me which mail transfer agents are installed on Ubuntu
Hoary by default, and where their config files (particularly the
alias) file, can be found, or how I can figure this out for myself?

I have the problem that my machine is sending or bouncing cron and
anacron messages to root at mydomain.com instead of to root at localhost,
and my web server administrator is getting spammed, and as you can
imagine is not very happy.
