I never tried turbo print under Hoary. Doing a quick search, reveals
that you need GTK1.x libs installed.
$sudo apt-get install libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-common
http://turboprint.de/manual/turboprint-9.html#ss9.1
It should also be noted that my test pages looked just fine in Warty,
never tried a test page in Hoary. I compiled the newer Gimp Print
almost directly after the Hoary install, before I ever connected the
printer.
Gimp Print 5.0.0.b3 gives you better setting choices also. Uses draft,
photo, best photo..... instead of 720 720x720 1440x720 ..... most of
the higher end settings didn't work with any of my printers, though
the documentation states it's fully able to use those.
