Hi Vince, List...
This is a fast replay as I'm very sleepy (it's 2AM right now).
I managed to find a solution for all the *.wmv files with Totem (using
Xine back-end) and here it's:
-Make sure that you quit totem.
-Make a backup of ~/.xine/catalog.cache after that edit it and find the
following lines:
[/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.0.0/xineplug_decode_w32dll.so]
size=173768
mtime=1112804124
type=131
api=15
id=win32a
version=10000
supported_types=50593792 52428800 52822016 ... (long line truncated)
decoder_priority=1
-Change
decoder_priority=1
To
decoder_priority=7
Save the file and try Totem.
(The above fix will work with *.wmv and *.asf files only, *.mov is still
not playing correctly with Totem.)
(I'll try to explain later in another mail what this is about.)
