the developpers are doing the the sync with the Debian packages, thus
all these new packages suddenly appearing.

stuff have broken.  For example there was a report a few hours ago of
Gaim not working to a library problem.  Things like that are bound to
happen in the next few days.  Personally I wouldn't touch Breeze for a
few more days at least until thing stabilize.
