Clock synchro at bootup

I seem to remember seeing the exact same question some time ago.
I think the answer was that DHCP is sometimes very slow to respond, so
they put a very long time out, as a consequence.
I think there is a way to specify a shorter time out. 

Search the archive, or wait for someone with a better recollection of
the detailled procedure than me, to speak up... ;o)
