Clock synchro at bootup

Hi,

I've got also a question concerning clock synchronisation at boot time.

I don't want to disable the connection to the server, but sometimes, 
when I'm booting my laptop without an existing network, it is for me a 
little bit frustrating in front of users of the "other system" to wait 
for more than a minute until the boot process continues...;-(

Is there any option somewhere to shorten the time, the machine is 
waiting for connection to the server?
