Ubuntu & Virtual PC (part II)

i feel like  a total failure atm.. 

I am using virtual pc to install and try out ubuntu before i convert 6
comps over.  And dangit if i cannot make it past the whole crappy login
resolution.

I am using the latest hoarty release, nvidia fx5200 video card, 1.5gig
ram, 1.2 tb harddrive.

I have go to the http://www.sci.fi/~abisoft/articles/tips3.html site
and because i am new to linux and really dunno much i am totally
losted.

when i do the command 'sudo pkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86', i get an
error of
sudo: pkg-reconfigure: command not found.

and when i go to etc/X11 there is nothing passed that nothig in that
folder either..
