I have exactly the same problem here, I have many mov and VMW videos
that have either no, or crap sound, even when using Totem Xine +
w32codecs or mplayer.
We have laready dicusssed this not that long ago, if you remember.
Problem is that, why are there so many different audio and video
codec/norms/format in existence, to start with ?
Why can't we just have OOG for audio (both music files and streaming
on-line radios), and one MPEG format for video ?
This way we make one super reliable and performant codec, and multimedia
is heaven for everyone everytime on every file.
Somehow I feel this will never happen, so I just live with my problems
and hope that maybe, in 20 years, my files will play properly.
And I am not accusing Linux in any way, because even Windows itself
wanted to download some coded to play its very own VMW files !
What a world....... ;-/
Sorry Baza, for not bringing you any particularly positive news about
this... :o(
