dvd/streaming video problems

I have the same problem with mplayer, so you are not alone. I dont
understand why mplayer is having that problems.

With totem-xine I only see problems with it, it hangs a lot and i dont
know why. Now im using xine, and seems to work well.

Have you checked out that your dvd-rom has the dma enabled?.
