Succes with Hoary..... and a problem

What exactly do you mean by saying "I cannot get on the internet"? You 
can ping the gateway.. but can you ping the gateway ip of your provider? 
Can you ping any host on the internet by means of ip? Is just your name 
resolution not working (check with '$ nslookup www.google.com')? Can you 
access the internet via the other computers in your network? Is the 
default route on your Hoary machine correct (there should be something 
like "default via <ip> dev eth0" at the end of the output of '$ ip route 
show')?

Please be a bit more specific. (And post some outputs..)
