Dear great masters

I am a happy user of Hoary, but I have some problems forwarding
xwindows through ssh and telnet (with xhost +). When I use telnet I
get the error:
Warning: no access to tty (Inappropriate ioctl for device).

I have installed debian-harden, and my packages has not been updated
for half a month. The rest of the details follow below.

I would be most grateful for any helpfuk comments

                                Niels

[niels:~]% ssh -X jncgate

[niels at jncgate niels]$ xclock
Error: Can't open display:
[niels at jncgate niels]$ gv bauer2.pdf
gv: Unable to open the display.
[niels at jncgate niels]$

My ~/.ssh/config says

Host *
ForwardX11 yes
ForwardAgent yes

My /etc/ssh/ssh_config says
Host *
ForwardX11 yes
ForwardX11Trusted yes

Actualy I also have problems with a simple combination of telnet and
xhost +
