I've referred to your bug in my new bug:

(hope you don't mind). By the way, what command are you using to check
the md5sums of the disks created with k3b? I'd basically like to know
whether you have to specify the length of the raw device to read (using
the "bs" and "count" options of "dd", say) or do you just "run off the
end" of the filesystem (and hit the two "run out blocks" mentioned by
Joerg Schilling in "man cdrecord")?

BTW, Thanks for your previous bug report (#2751)- it gave me some very
useful pointers.
