I've still got this -really- annoying problem with my monitor (Dell 
E127FP) and Hoary. (On my updated daily Hoary box I've been getting a 
'odd' X start-up bug. My PC is a Dell Dimension 2400, with the E127FP 
17inch monitor. On booting into X my monitor displays the error, 'unable 
to display video mode'. I hit Ctrl+Alt+F2 with the idea of editing 
xorg.conf. It was then by a serendipity that I hit Ctrl+Alt+F7 where I 
find the Gnome login running at 1280X1080 at 75htz.)


If the Dev people are reading this, is this a 'bug'? Will it be fixed 
for the official release of Hoary?
