If the CD is fine, I don't see how it can be fixed any further on the
release CD image. :-)
Assuming that it's a CD-R or CD-RW, it is not uncommon for some CD-ROM
drives to have difficulty reading these discs, especially when they are
written at high speed. Try writing the disc at 1x or 2x speed, and using
CD-R instead of CD-RW (if you are using -RW).
