BroadCom Wireless and ALPS Touchpad

I have a HP nx9105 Laptop which has a BroadCom Wireless Internal Module.

ubuntu does not detect it. It appears most distros require the use of
ndiswrapper to make it work correctly. Does anyone have any experience
of this? Will this remain the case in ubuntu?

I also have a ALPS Touchpad (built in) which does not work with
ubuntu I have to plug a USB mouse in. Again can support be added for
this device?

I have also had problems with freezing and slow navigation with ubuntu
on this model of laptop.

Anyone else using a nx9105 or similar model?

Thankyou
