installation breaks installing kernel 2.6.8.1-2

Hello ubuntu users,

hope that's the right list here.

I got the warty-powerpc.iso today and tried to install it on an iMac 
G3/400 DV. The installer stops because it could not install 
kernel-image-2.6.8.1-2-powerpc. /var/log/messages says in the last 
lines:

/usr/sbin/mkinitrd: device /dev/hda21 is not a block device
Failed to create initrd image

... exit status 9
...
... error code(1)

Debian Sarge has installed very well on this iMac ;-)
