OK, my card is now working, and Ubuntu is a fine looking distro, think
it's going to be my main laptop linux from now on.

I found that setting the networkname to 'any' works better than naming
your network, this seems to let you use 'open nodes' in coffee shops
etc.

A couple of points from install.

The wallpaper seems to be broke. 
A note about 'root' and sudo would help
My USB data stick is only found if you pull it out and put it back in.
The desktop is a bit sparse, I think it needs, 'home' and 'trash'.
Can we have Abiword back? I like it more than OO
