Something along these lines, yes.
But this hal-hotplug-map program only modifies some properties of the
device; it should still send out a message to a corresponding GNOME
component (gnome-vfs or Nautilus maybe) which then invokes gthumb.
But as I said, such modifications will take place after the Warty
releaese.
