Installing on iBook

I have had mostly success with installation of Ubuntu PPC on an iBook
(model#M8600LL/A). I am having the same problem with the permission
error message of /dev/pmu.

When I had Debian 3.1 installed on the iBook previously, I had the
same error message and I was able to eliminate this message by
installing 'pmud' then later I installed 'pbuttonsd' which removed
pmud. For some reason this corrected the problem.

I have gotten both eth0 and eth1 (Apple Airport card) working.

I am having a problem with sleeping or rather waking it from sleep.
It appears to go to sleep normally when closing the lid. However,
when I try to open it, I am faced with a black screen and the
following messages:

eth1: Airport entering sleep mode
eth0: suspending, WakeOnLan disabled
radeonfb: suspending to state: 2...
radeonfb: switching to D2 state...
cpufreq: resume failed to assert current frequency is what timing core
thinks it is.
radeonfb: switching to D0 state...
radeonfb: resumed !
eth1: get_wireless_stats() called while device not present
enable_irq(27) unbalanced
enable_irq(28) unbalanced
eth0: resuming
PHY ID: 4061e4, addr: 0
eth1: Airport waking up
eth0: Link is up at 100 Mbps, full-duplex.
eth0: Pause is disabled

After that the screen remains unchanged. I am unable to switch
consoles. And must hard reboot, which returns to normal until next
time I try to sleep again.
