Belkin wireless card with ATmel chipset

hallo all,

got my live cd, and have tested it. found it nice, speedy, clean, and 
"it just work"... to a certain extend :) i think it had been really 
nicely done, since many things do work by just booting.

i have an atmel based wlan 802.11b PCMCIA card, and i have no problem 
running it under fedora core 2 using the firmware from simon kelleys. i 
wonder how do i do the same for ubuntu? do i need the same firmware? it 
is somehow not distributed i guess, perhaps because it is non-free...
