I've noticed this as well. I've also noticed the breaking follow(s/ed)
wa post made by someone from the forum. Also some people use email
clients which break the headers.
Sure it messes with mail clients and those of us with a mail client that
halfway threads properly (Evolution being what I use, it breaks
threading often) but I think the biggest issue is how this appears in
the mailing list archives. I know I point google at the debian mailing
list archives often to search for stuff and not having a link at the
bottom of the individual post that says "next reply" because the
threading doesn't help.
