I  don't thin that the people at canonical are not willing to to this,
but  some  companies limit the license of software such that it cannot
be   packaged   in  a  .deb  file  to  download  with  apt.  It's  not
canonical/ubuntu/whatever  distro's  fault,  but the licenses prohibit
them from packaging things.
