Filesystem corrupted or hard disk gone bad?

Hi Ari,

That's really similar to the situation I had with my dead hard drive -
except I couldn't even get to the grub menu when I rebooted.

I think the "wrong fs type..." error message when mounting is rather
generic, so I don't know how much that tells us, but I also got that
message when trying to mount the "bad" hard drive from a live cd
environment.

Hopefully this isn't a growing trend. :-\
