Couldn't you provide some scripts/commandos/packages that can download
say, flash, java and other plugins/programs from the makers site and
set then up for the user?
I know you think that everything installed should be through
debian-packages so upgrading/uninstalling/etc should be an easy task.
but the packages could only cointain the .list files and a control
file the rest is download from other places?
doesn't mscorefonts work like that? and mscorefonts is in the universial.
