IPv6 Nightmares. Why cant I not use!

noticeably quicker without IPv6.  This has been noted elsewhere, BTW -
Fedora (my distro, prior to my "conversion") has the same issue.  There
was quite a bit of traffic on FedoraForum regarding this.

I seem to recall that it may be a Mozilla gotcha, not a
kernel/module/protocol one, but I can't remember where I saw that
(damn, another senior moment!).
