Warty PPC - Installer does not check disk space

Install on iBook 500mhz Dual boot with OSX.
Made a 1.9G root partition, installer never checks available disk space
before starting.
After getting 90% throught the install, dumps out to a curses package
manager.
I figured that it might give me a warning before starting the install.
Should I bugzilla this as an RFE?  Or should I RTFM?
