GRUB error after first boot (NOT dual boot related)

Hi!

Can't even get to the terminal. The system hlats after the error output.

I tried the Ubuntu LiveCD, but grub also stops there at the same stage,
just without the hard disk error (i guess because it's not trying to
boot from HD).

Haven't tried any other LiveCD, but for now it seem this is a Ubuntu
GRUB package related issue, or maybe a newer than fedora's GRUB issue.

Looking for a simmilar porblem on the net revealed little info.

Hope to get some clarification on the issue soon, but for now it seem
like an isolated case.

I fear this post my be a bit overlooked since people porbably assume
it's another newbie looking for a dual boot problem solution.
