Will there be a boot splash like the one in suse, mandrake?

But the X-server could hang too. The kernel could freeze or panic. Would the 
X-based solution help you in these cases to see the errors? I think both 
ways, X-server and framebuffer could have situations where you can not see an 
kernel message.
