IBM x40 suspend/resume

After following Daniel Stone instructions
   http://people.ubuntu.com/~daniels/x40/
I have got suspend/resume working properly (as long as I don't
change the power mode during its sleep, ac vs. battery).

The only problem is that I get a beep during the resume. I disabled every
beep I could in the bios settings and still get the beep (only while
resuming). I don't know who is causing it but it is rather annoying when
you resume your laptop in public. The beep volume is only afftected by
the hardware volume (ie. the small volume buttons) but not by the alsa
volume. In the log I see no hint:

Back to C!

Interestingly the beep occurs not right at the beginning but rather
while switching back to X. I try to play with the resume.sh script
without success.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Christophe
