Human Icon theme ambiguity

I like the human icon theme, however.
It's a bit hard to tell at first glance if a folder is open or not by
looking in the parent folder.

Parent folder is the one focuses "Documents" and the two open folders
are "Azereth Stuff" with no emblem and "History" with the "Documents"
emblem on it. Compare these to the other closed folders.

The icon changes from a yellow folder with a bit of white paper
showing to the yellow folder being more transparent and more of the
white paper showing, not very distinctive at first glance.
Also when you have a (In my case the "Documents") emblem on a folder
and then open it you have to look verrry closely to notice the change
in the folder icon because the emblem hides most of it.
Does anyone else agree? Perhaps the folder-is-open icon needs to be
changed further, a colour change would be great.
