ACPI

I have an HP XE4500, and the acpi don't work. The status battery
frozen, I boot into ubuntu and the status show me an 80% and past 20
minuts he show's a 73% and no more the acpi update de status batery.
When I run the acpi command in the shell the status are iqual. If I
run the acpid that report the this error:

acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: Permission denied

I restart the acpi service with no error but the battery status are frozen.
