UT2003 & nvidia system freezes

Greetings,

I have UT2003 installed, every time I go to fire it up the whole system
locks solid. I then have to reboot the machine (using the power button
on the front), UT then works fine. Next session the same thing happens.
Doom3 and Enemy-Territory both work fine.
I'm using an NVIDIA G-Force 4 MX 4000 card. In the early stages of use I
have been adding the nvidia-glx package - presuming it needed to be
present for 3d acceleration. (I'm mentioning this because of another
post regarding possible freezes with nvidia-glx).
I'll see if I can get some sort of error log output regarding this
issue.
Any ideas would be most welcome...
