What is the default SDL sound driver?  It hasn't changed, so the default
must have worked for you previously.

xmms does not require libmikmod2.  This is a bug caused by the proprietary
nvidia drivers.  You can install libmikmod2 as a workaround, but only nVidia
can fix the true bug.

I do not think this has even been created by the installer, or otherwise.
The "Home" menu item in the Computer menu opens your home directory, not the
Documents directory.

It has worked for others; perhaps you can provide more detail.
