Advice for Gateway all-in-one install X Server problem

Thanks much for the note and the help. Unfortunately, I reinstalled
Windows XP on the Gateway and will install Ubuntu on a more standard
Dell machine in the next few days.
I did look at the X server config file, /etc/X11/XF86Config-4, and at
/var/log/XFree86.0.log.
The issue in the log was "no video BIOS modes for chosen depth"
followed by "no screens found." I did change from the driver from
"i810" to "vesa" since there were some postings about this but this
did not fix the problem. Again sorry I don't have the full log or
config file and thanks again for your willingness to help.
