switching from win to ubuntu

well id be more then glad to switch but i have a few problems thats
keeping me from switching

1. my printer is a lexmark z55 and when i used to use slack i dled the
drivers from lexmark and they did not work

2.i plan on getting an ipod soon and with itunes it keeps everything
organised and what not and i wanna know if there is somthing like that
on linux
