After upgrade firefox has reverted and I can't reinstall 1.0PR

Uh??!

What's shipping is an _older_ version - _not_ the latest "bleeding edge" 
version - simply because the 1.0PR version proved to be too unstable.

So I really don't understand your post. Which version do you think they 
should ship?
