It was made clear in Mark's email that the discussion on the list was
encouraged, and being taken into account for the decision. He has also
announced a community meeting on IRC, in addition to the ongoing
discussion on the mailing list. Combative behaviour and threats do not
help to make anyone's point.

To be absolutely clear: I happen to agree with your point of view, but
the way you've stated it is not appropriate for this list. Plenty of
other people have made their views known without being combative or
unfair. Let's keep the quality of this community discussion as high as
it has been, so we can all enjoy it.
