My opinion is that this isn't even important enough to add an option
to the installer. It's obvious that there are some people against the
new graphics for moral or ethical reasons, but it seems the majority
of people talking about it simply don't think the images are
appropriate for any kind of professional environment - be it a school,
library, business, church.

I happen to be a conservative Christian, and I'm also a graphic
designer. I think the images are unique and well done. I also happen
to really like the background image (which is apparently the most
controversial). Even if some of the default background/splash/GDM are
changed for the final release (which I hope they are), I also really
hope that they're availble as an option. I can't imagine anyone
opposing to this, except perhaps for the religious group that isn't
allowed to depict images of people or animals at all. If that is
indeed what they believe, I wouldn't think they could use the majority
of Linux distros, as I don't recall seeing many that DON'T include our
mascot Tux. :-)

So that's my vote for what it's worth. Generic and/or conservative
defaults - that would be gladly accepted in any business situation,
and the cool unique graphics available as an option.

Now, I'm going to try and refrain from replying to any more of these
threads. I'm getting tired of reading them myself. :-)

I think I'm up to about $.06 now. :-)
