This isn't the way I've seen it. I've seen messages from at least a
couple "developers" who have expressed concern or criticism either
about the theme or about the harsh reaction from many people to
it. I am one of them.

This theme is *very* new and I think it's safe to say that the
reaction against it, in degree if nothing else, was not expected. The
only "official" position has been from Mark who said that he's waiting
to see where the conversation goes in terms of both problems and
solutions and will make a call after the dust has settled.
